Andrew Metcalfe
(B.Bus. CPA, FGIA, GAICD, Grad. Dip. CorpSecPrac & AppCorpGov) is Principal of Accosec & Associates and leads a qualified and experienced team of professionals. Andrew is an experienced hands-on and practical thinking company secretary and governance professional, with a wealth of experience in the ASX listed company environment. He is dedicated to strengthen and enhance a company's regulatory, compliance and governance function that underpins a clients activities and ensures transparency, accountability, fair dealing and protecting the interests of stakeholders. His expertise in Chartered Secretarial and Governance Advisory services along with a range of financial and commercial skills ensures the client complies with its corporate, regulatory and statutory compliance requirements. His client base is geographically spread both nationally and internationally and across a diverse industry base.
Philip Thomas
M CommLaw, B Bus (Bkg & Fin), Grad Dip CSP, ASA, FGIA, F.Fin, MAICD
Specialising in management and Boardroom governance, particularly the more complex matters. Clients range from international and Australian Listed entities, large private companies, Not for Profits in a variety of sectors and industries. Philip is a frequent guest speaker to industry on development, Board control and assessment practices including governance procedures for management oversight. This area includes training in aspects and support for directors and company secretaries for practical governance and business solutions.
Alastair Beard
B.EC, CPA, GAICD
Alastair Beard is a highly respected Chief Financial Officer who has provided accounting and governance services to ASX listed companies, pre-IPO start-ups and unlisted private entities for 15 years. Previously he spent his career in the energy industry, in a variety of commercial, IT and operational roles, and in the property funds management industry. Alastair holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Adelaide and is a graduate of both CPA Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Alastair's business, Button One Pty Ltd, provides the full suite of outsourced accounting services on a “plug and play” basis. Services available range from bookkeeping, AP, AR, management reporting and financial reporting through to your own CFO. All services are offered on a part time basis, as required, and dovetail neatly into Accosec’s Company Secretarial and Governance services.
Andrew McKelvie
M Bus Law; BA (Hons)
Andrew is a leader in corporate governance with experience in the finance, telecoms, motor, wholesale, and professional services industries with businesses listed on the ASX, NASDAQ and London Stock Exchange.
He holds expertise in corporate governance, director duties (training/board evaluations), regulatory compliance, corporate law and practice, corporate finance including debt/equity financing (equity placing/share split/bond issues) and capital restructuring, shareholder communication/meetings and related business obligations. He has previously held a number of director, public officer, and company secretary appointments for client companies’ resident in Australia.
Andrew possesses excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills with the ability to influence decisions and develop positive business relations.
